Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Field Service Technician to join our team in Warsaw, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machinery and equipment, with expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, and preferably Fanuc controls. As a CNC Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC equipment for our valued customers.


Travel and Compensation:

  • On average about 2 overnights per week – servicing IN, MI, and the U.P.
  • Work week: Monday through Friday.
  • Compensation: $26.00 to $28.00 per hour + OT (bi-weekly pay/standard away from home rules).
  • Benefits: Medical, Dental, 3% Match on IRA Contributions, Company vehicle is provided, all travel expenses are paid (company CC), and per diem is provided ($15 per day / $55 for overnights).


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CNC Field Service Technician or similar role.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC.
  • Familiarity with Fanuc controls and programming is preferred.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.


Responsibilities:

  • Install, set up, and configure CNC machinery and equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of CNC equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues on CNC machines, including hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC, and Fanuc controls.
  • Repair or replace faulty components and parts to restore CNC equipment to working order.
  • Train customers on the proper operation and maintenance of CNC machinery.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to customers via phone, email, or on-site visits.
  • Document service activities, including maintenance tasks, repairs, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address customer inquiries, resolve issues, and improve service processes.
