 Job title: Demand Planner

Job location: 209 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210 Must be willing to come into the office.

 Compensation: $65,000 to $70,000 + 5% target bonus (potential for relocation but preference on local candidates)

Work week: Standard business hours  

Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred but not required. Supply chain, finance, or related field.

Experience: Will entertain new graduates for this role if education aligns with the role.

Preferred Experience: SAP experience. Statistical forecasting experience. Supply chain experience.


Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Review historical sales trends, prepare forecast data, research demand drivers, leverage statistical forecast models where appropriate, and evaluate forecast results.
    • Develop and submit demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation and time horizons to drive the supply plan.
    • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
  • Create and maintain unconstrained forecasts and constrained demand plans. Communicate and collaborate with sales team on supply constraints
  • Develop actionable insights to cross functional departments
  • Drive and lead functional team collaboration to develop a consensus plan via the S&OP process
  • Use demand planning tool to create an effective statistical forecast
  • Proactively analyze and communicate forecast details for assigned area, including risks, confidence levels, and opportunities to stakeholders
  • Report metrics on forecast accuracy and identify key drivers to forecast misses

Job Requirements:

•             Bachelor’s degree preferred. Supply Chain, Finance or business degree

•             Be able to tell a story with data

•             Strong mathematical abilities

•             Experience using ERP statistical software packages

•             Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools

•             Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
