District Sales Manager

Chattanooga, TN, United States of America (remote)

Work week: Monday through Friday – some after hour appointments.

Job location: Fully remote (must live in Chattanooga, Knoxville, or Clarksville, TN)– with travel expectations (99% locally, nothing overnight)

Compensation: First year expectation would be $60,000 to $80,000 (this is a realistic 1st year expectation)

Commission Only – Personal production + overrides on the team they will build + some residuals. They will get 2% overrides on people they recruit and will get a $10,000 bonus per recruit that hits their goal, and a $6,000 bonus per recruit. Their goal would be to hire a person once a quarter.

Leads are generated from their CRM system but will be expected to generate their own leads as well. Referrals come from doctor’s offices, dental offices, etc.

Training: This person would be training with the Area Sales Manager. This would be approximately a year but should be able to produce very quickly. Their Area Sales Manager is highly motivated to getting them up to speed. You will be training and working directly with the company’s #1 District Sales Manager.

Education / Certifications: 

  • Must have an Insurance License (Life & Health specifically)
  • High School Diploma or GED required:


  • Previous sales experience. 
  • Must have great communication skills. 
  • Personable over the phone and in-person.

  • Experience with Medicare, Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, etc. required.
  • High School Education
  • Life and Health insurance License required
  • Timely completion of all required training as directed once hired
  • Ability to travel locally
  • Proven track record in recruiting, training, and leadership
  • Be willing and able to maintain state(s) license(s) as a condition of employment

  • Experience managing a team of sales agents required


  • Develop a field sales team to meet production growth objectives
  • Communicate company sales plan to the American Republic Insurance Services representatives on a timely basis
  • Establish priorities including providing mechanisms for frequent and effective communication within the sales team, assisting with regional forecasting production and enforcing performance standards
  • Working with your Agency Sales Manager to recruit candidates who are looking to build a successful business by adding to the family of highly skilled American Republic Insurance Services Team Members
  • Train in areas of administration, policies and procedures, compliance, product, sales recruiting processes and marketing.
  • Manage leads from our lead generation program for your agency
