Job title: Electrical & Instrumentation Technician 

Job location: Wallingford, CT 06492 

Work week: 8:00am to 4:00pm + OT 

Salary: Starting at $38.64 an hour. 5% bonus annually.

Education / Certifications:  High School Diploma or GED minimum.  

Required Experience: 3+ years’ experience of relatable experience in maintenance within a chemical, manufacturing, or related industry. 

Preferred Experience: Associates or Technical Degree in Instrumentation & Controls. Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering is a big plus too. State of CT Electrical Licensing (E-2 or higher)  

Job Description:

Are you experience in providing electrical and instrumental engineering support and maintenance? As an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician, you will work hand in-hand with other maintenance staffs in emergency and preventive maintenance. Responsibilities  

  • Install, repair, troubleshoot and perform preventative maintenance assignments on electronic, electrical, instrumentation, controls and related equipment in the Plant.
  • Read and understand electronic, electrical and  instrument blueprints.
  • Layout and assemble electrical systems including conduit runs.
  • Provide communication/coordination with appropriate Department, Plant, I&E Group Leader as necessary to assure safe and efficient operations.
  • Prepare, complete, update and maintain all reports, records and documentation as assigned or necessary.
  • Adhere to all Plant, Company and regulatory standards, policies, rules and requirements.
  • Assist other crafts along with additional duties as directed by management.

Required skills and experience

  • State of Connecticut electrical Licensing (E-2 or higher) or Instrumentation certification
  • Experience with E&I maintenance in chemical industry.
  • Good practical exposure on chemical plant operation.
  • Pro-active, initiative, self-motivated and a strong team player.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills with systematic thinking.

Qualifications
