Job title: Environmental Specialist
Job location: Pekin, IL 61554 Relocation assistance potentially available.
Work week: Monday through Friday, onsite work required
Salary Range: $60,000 - $70,000 + a discretionary bonus (up to 10%) + discretionary stock options.

Required Experience: Willing to entertain new graduates for this position.
Preferred Experience: 1 to 3 years’ experience in the environmental field preferred. Environmental Air regulation experience, continuous emission monitoring experience, leak detection & repair experience, laboratory experience, air and water permitting, experience with ethanol

The company is focused on products for four key markets: Health, Home & Beauty; Food & Beverage; Essential Ingredients; and Renewable Fuels. The company’s customers include major food and beverage companies and consumer products companies.
Our Pekin campus produces products destined for Health, Food and Beverage and Industrial markets. All personnel are responsible for the safety of these products, which includes participation in training, following cGMP and food safety requirements in the facility, and reviewing and following SOPs for incoming ingredients and outgoing products.
Job Purpose: The Environmental Specialist role is to manage the fundamental regulatory programs that serve as the backbone of our environmental compliance system. This is accomplished by utilizing a teamwork approach incorporating strong values of integrity, respect, trust, and excellence.

Inspections and updates to environmental compliance plans including:
Play an active role in day-to-day communication to the operations team on environmental compliance.
Support Environmental Manager in the progression of campus environmental compliance metrics system
