Work Week: 5:45pm to 6:00am on a rotating shift + OT 

Rotating Schedule is 3 days on (week 1), 4 days on (week 2); will work every other weekend

Sign On: $3,000 (paying $1,000 on first paycheck; $2,000 after 90 days of employment)

Education / Certifications:  H.S. Diploma or GED required; Associates Degree or better preferred

Required Experience: 3+ years’ experience in a previous supervisory or team lead position in a manufacturing environment. Will be supervising 8 direct reports.

Preferred Experience: 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Extrusion or Plastics experience preferred

Reasons for disqualification: Must have H.S Diploma or GED, must be willing to left up to 50 lbs, must be willing to stand on feed for long periods of time, must complete a drug screen and pass, and must complete and pass a background check

Job Summary: Supervises, coordinates, plans operations and problem solves so that the department meets its required level of performance in Safety, Quality, Productivity, and Cost. They oversee production activities of workers engaged in operating variety of machines to manufacture products.

Job Duties:

  • Ensures safe operations and behaviors of department workers
  • Coaches and mentors workers, performs performance reviews, and manages various administrative tasks pertaining to leadership of the department
  • Analyzes work orders to estimate worker hours and create machining schedules that meet both internal and external needs
  • Computes amounts of stock and supplies required for operations, based on production schedules, and requisitions materials from storage area
  • Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers, and assigns duties
  • Plans flow of materials through department and develops physical layout of machines according to work orders
  • Interfaces with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
  • Inspects and measures parts and products to verify conformance to specifications
  • Directs workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair products which fail to meet standards
  • Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and company and customer standards
  • Develops, recommends, and implements measures to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product
  • Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
  • Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems
  • Maintains time and production records
  • Develops capital equipment justifications for machine tools and process technology to improve quality, cost, and cycle times
  • Estimates, requisitions, and inspects materials
  • Other duties as assigned
