Exciting opportunity for an HR Manager who will report to the VP of Human Resources at a rapidly growing, family-oriented company with a great reputation. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for carrying out a variety of HR functions across the organization with a focus on talent acquisition, on-boarding, employee activities, compliance, benefits administration, performance development, and overall positive employee engagement.

Job Duties

  • Lead with an engaging and outgoing attitude and a personal commitment and passion for delivering exceptional service
  • Lead all aspects of talent acquisition: creating job descriptions, interviewing, and assessing candidates, offer acceptance and on-boarding
  • Build applicant pipeline thru creative partnering with internal marketing team, colleges, technical schools, recruiters, use of social media, and internet sites
  • Strategize roles with leaders and recruit high performing individuals to join and advance our team
  • Field questions and concerns from employees at all levels, providing answers, coaching, and directing employees to appropriate resources
  • Suggest new and/or evolution of processes and best practices to improve efficiency of the HR department and to improve our employee experience
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws
  • Partner with leaders in effective performance management strategies
  • Lead company events and team member engagement activities to support our culture
  • Administer company wellness, benefits (medical, dental, vision, FMLA, Short Term Disability) and 401k programs to ensure we are educating our team members and advocating for these programs
  • Maintain employee data utilizing HRIS system
  • Manage all OSHA required safety training, including First Aid and CPR, and workers compensation in partnership with leaders

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Communication, business, or a related field
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred.
  • 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources, specifically talent acquisition
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency
  • Hands on experience analyzing issues and recommending solutions
  • Ability to communicate and relate with all levels of employees and managers
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and prioritize deadlines
  • Ability to work with highly sensitive information and consistently demonstrate high level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Proven history of building strong and collaborative relationships
  • Ability to balance the needs of employees and the business needs of the organization
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Suite of Products – Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict management skills
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness, initiative, and problem-solving ability
  • Tackle stressful problems that arise with a calm and supportive demeanor
  • Travel occasionally, specifically to new location in Texas
