Job title: Human Resources Manager

Job location: Louisville, KY 40209  

Salary: $80,000-100,000, 3% bonus 

Benefits: Eligible to enroll after 30 days of employment. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k + 100% match up to 6%, tuition reimbursement for approved education and profit sharing bonuses paid out yearly directly into 401k account (Track record is the past 5 years bonuses paid out)  

Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations or Human Resources

Required Experience: Need to have 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, industrial, production, or chemical environment. Union experience is strongly preferred. This is an onsite position for a chemical plant.

Job Description:

As a member of the Human Resources Team you will lead the local HR activities

  • Strong Labor Relations/Employee Relations, Experience assisting Contract Negotiations, Grievance procedures, 5+  years minimum experience, knowledge of labor laws
  • Deliver consistent, professional, HR support to line management and site customers
  • Effectively consult and respond to all customer inquiries
  • Interact effectively with Sr. Managers, Directors and members of the leadership team
  • Act as a liaison between employees, internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure that difficult/sensitive issues are handled in a timely and appropriate manner
  • Handles all HR administrative matters:  recruitment, terminations, promotions, salary administration
  • Develops and implements effective training programs working with the Center of Excellence for Organizational Development
  • Develops and implements effective communication strategies
  • Promotes Organizational Development through effective use of TRP process
  • Stays abreast of best practices in the area of Human Resources
  • Works effectively with the entire HR Team


  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of generalist background in a manufacturing environment
  • Union experience a plus,  and strategic Human Resources management as well as Employee Relations
  • Hands-on experience in Labor Relations, Training & Development, Employee Relations , Staffing,  Change Management, and Compliance
  • Strong Communication Skills, Facilitation Skills and Influencing Skills
  • Computer proficiency in Excel, Word, and PeopleSoft
  • Willing to Travel
