Compensation: Around $80,000 starting salary

Required Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in payroll specifically. 

JOB SUMMARY: The Corporate Payroll Specialist provides support to the Corporate Payroll Supervisor in all aspects of the in-house assocaite payroll function, ensuring accurate processing, recording and reporting of the Company’s payroll. The Corporate Payroll Specialist will have contact with divisional human resources, benefits and payroll department associates across the country, which requires strong interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.


  • Perform tasks to establish and to maintain accurate associate / payroll records including: a) Reviewing daily audit reports for new associates; b) reviewing and summarizing Corporate office time keeping records (Kronos); c) running standard and BI payroll reports to support locations; d) processing weekly payroll for Corporate associates and ensure accuracy of records; e) process deduction mass uploads. (60%)
  • Perform weekly payroll closing activities in support of multi-state locations, which include union and non-union associates. (15%)
  • Maintain working knowledge of human resources and payroll policies and procedures to a) suggest process improvements for the payroll process and b) participate on teams for payroll system upgrades and enhancements to UltiPro, as appropriate. (10%)
  • Support and process all year-end activities, including prepare moving expense summaries and gross up calculations and W2s. (5%)
  • Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary. (10%)



Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college or associate’s degree from a nationally or regionally accredited degree program.


3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in general accounting functions, including a minimum of 3 years of experience in multi state tax payroll processing and reporting. If associate’s degree, additional experience is required.
