Job title: Cell Tower Technician / Climber
Job location: San Diego, CA or Chino, CA
Work week: Monday-Friday 7am-3:30pm – average 50 hours per week
Wage: $20-$36 an hour depending on experience

Required Experience: Cell tower experience or certification
Essential Job Duties:
- Ensures safety standards and requirements.
- Responsible for quality of his/her work on communication sites as well as his/her work
- behavior.
- Responsible for all tools, equipment, and material issued.
- Responsible for taking direction from the supervisor and accomplishing task assigned.
- Follows all company policies and practices.
- Ability to fill the position or replace someone for a short period of time. (One position below or above).
- Responsible for your physical ability to climb and work at an acceptable pace determined
- by management.
- Perform all aspects of coax and antenna work as well as limited civil work with supervision.
Essential Qualifications:
- Ensures safety standards and requirements.
- Ability to learn RF theory.
- Ability to learn how to operate RF test gear.
- Familiar with proper procedures for all types of rigging operations.
- Ability to perform and inspect certain types of rigging operations.
- Ability to learn basic electrical.
- Familiar with basic computer related tasks. (E-mail, Word and Excel Operations, Find information on the internet, etc.).
- Ability to learn basic civil work skills used to build new telecommunications sites. (Pour concrete, carpentry, landscaping, heavy equipment operation, etc.).
- Ability to assist in the building of all types of communication sites. (Self-supporting, guyed, monopoles, and rooftops).
- Connector and RET certified.
- Familiar with the preparation of all types of required paperwork. (Schedules, daily reports, time sheets, etc.).
- Tower climbing certification required and must be physically able to climb 300’ and maintain an acceptable pace.
- Ability to work at heights for extended periods of time.
- Ability to operate power tools and the use of hand tools that are required.
- Basic first aid/CPR trained and certified.
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
- Must be able to travel to work sites throughout the region.
